We couldn’t be more excited to announce that God has called us to plant a church!

It wasn’t something that happened instantly. It began in 2009, while most of the team was at Grace Community Church in Houston. God began stirring our hearts with a sense of something new. At first, we didn’t know “what” that something new was. We began to seek God and soon realized that God was asking us to further His kingdom by starting a brand new church family. Shortly after, our prayers shifted from “what?” to dreams of “what if?” Soon after, other couples from around the country began hearing God’s voice in the same way. One conversation led to another, and we realized that God was bringing us together with the same vision. From there, the journey of Living Church began with this handful of young people praying and believing that God had given a dream that was bigger than any of us.

We knew if we would obey and take a risk, God would do the impossible. As we prayed about what Living Church would be, the prayers of “where?” and “when?” began to consume us. We prayed about where God would have us plant a church and He clearly directed us to Mansfield, TX, a suburb of Dallas. After living in the Dallas area for the last 16 years, we were familiar with the metroplex and familiar with Mansfield in particular. While praying about, studying and visiting this city, we found a community that immediately sparked vision and a connection that could only come from God. We know that God has led us to Mansfield to be a part of what He wants to do in this great city.

Mansfield is a city booming with success and possibilities. It is considered to be one of the fastest growing communities in the DFW area with 58,069 people and covering 3 counties. Mansfield is projected to reach 76,000 people by 2015. Within a 10 mile radius of Mansfield, the population rises to 417,241. Over 86% of total households in Mansfield are family households. We want to share God’s truth, provide hope, and serve this community with the love of Christ.
